This following section is Horror, and is a selection of legends not for the faint hearted. Some of these UL's are bordering on the 'Classic Horror' tag, and some of you may believe that they should be classed as classic, but since this is my project and it's my hairy arse on the line, I have to make the decisions and I will stick to them!

Right, give me a moment while I climb down from my soapbox, and we will proceed. I have started the Horror section with a proto-legend from 'Down Under', meaning it is at the beginning of the Urban Legend process. Whether it will make Urban Legend status, only time will tell.

Also included are such horror/slasher favourites as 'The Hairy Armed Hitchhiker' (HO4607), 'The Licked Hand' (HO4603) and 'The Midnight Scream' (HO4602). All of which gives us pure horror stripped to the bone and in its most basic form, and so survives and succeeds in their simplicity.

On the other end of the scale we have 'The Blair Witch Project' (HO4608), a complex but manufactured UL designed to market a product. This is a good example of how a UL can be created to manipulate and control a certain situation; in this case it was used to create hype to market a film. I feel that the use of UL's in this manner is a small hint to their potential, and something I hope to tap into and reveal later in the project.

We also explore the fear of being buried alive (HO4605), as well as looking at the illegal and sinister trade of selling human flesh for consumption in Flesh For Sale (HO4606). Also included are a couple of UL's from the original fright night, Halloween. At the same time every year these legends reappear on the scene, capturing the spirit of Halloween. The disturbing thing is, one of these UL's is true!
