The
card in question is the C-3PO card from the Topps' 1978 Star Wars set. Legend
has it that a disgruntled artist added the 'penis' to the original image of
C-3PO. The official version is that it is an unfortunate trick of timing and
light. It is suggested that a piece fell off the C-3PO costume and just happened
to line up in that position as it was falling at the exact moment the photo
was taken.
